Videotto turns plain-language prompts into polished clips and bespoke motion graphics, but motion-graphics credits burn fast and detailed editing stays desktop-only.

overview

What Videotto does

Videotto's editor is built around Otto, an AI agent you direct in plain language. You drop in a long video (or paste a YouTube link), type what you want, and Otto proposes standalone moments, cuts them vertical or tightens the full video, writes and styles captions, removes dead air with jump cuts and adds motion graphics such as charts, big-number reveals and kinetic callouts sized to what is being said. You can also sketch on a frame or a blank canvas and Otto turns the markup into a graphic or an edit. Each project is a separate conversation you can return to, and Otto can work on several videos at once in the cloud.

Videotto started as an AI clipping tool; those original AI Clipping and AI Motion tools still work but are in maintenance mode, and Otto is the actively developed editor. Finished videos export in 1080p at 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 and can be scheduled to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, with optional auto-replies to comments and DMs. Uploads, chat and review work in a mobile browser, but the detailed editor is desktop-only.

Credits are one shared balance. Videotto's table counts 1 credit per minute of source video for AI clipping (200 credits = 200 minutes, about 170 clips), while AI Motion uses more: 200 credits cover about 13 minutes of animated video. On Pro that is $0.10 per source minute monthly ($20 / 200) or $0.06 annually ($12 / 200); Plus 1,000 is $0.095 per minute monthly. Rendering exports also draws on credits. There are no overage charges: you buy extra credits or upgrade. The pricing page lists no free plan.

best for

Who Videotto is best for

Videotto suits podcasters, educators and founders who post explainer or talking-head videos and want motion graphics without After Effects or a designer. The chat interface is aimed at people who do not want to learn a timeline editor. It is a paid-only tool on its pricing page, so expect to subscribe to try it properly.

If you only need fast clips from long videos, cheaper per-minute clippers such as WayinVideo or reap have free tiers. If you want a full editor you control frame by frame, Descript or Kapwing are better fits.

what users say

What users say

No independent user reviews turned up as of November 3, 2026: Videotto's listings on GetApp and Capterra show no reviews yet. Most published praise comes from Videotto's own blog and demo, such as its claim of 40 clips from a 60-minute podcast in under 15 minutes, which is self-reported. Videotto also runs a paid UGC program that pays creators to post about it on TikTok and Instagram, so weigh social-media enthusiasm accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Videotto cost?

Pro is $20 a month or $12 a month billed annually ($144) for 200 credits a month. Plus starts at $39 a month for 400 credits, with 1,000 credits at $95 a month. Enterprise is custom. See videotto.com/pricing.

Is Videotto free?

The pricing page lists no free plan; paid plans start at $20 a month. Videotto's FAQ mentions lower upload and storage limits for unpaid accounts, but it does not describe a free tier you can use for real projects.

What is Otto in Videotto?

Otto is Videotto's AI editing agent. You describe the edit in a chat box and Otto cuts, captions, adds motion graphics and exports the video, showing each step it takes. It replaced the older clipping-only workflow as Videotto's main editor.

How do Videotto credits work?

Every editing action and render draws from one monthly credit balance. AI clipping uses about 1 credit per minute of source video; motion graphics use far more, with 200 credits covering about 13 minutes. Annual plans grant the year's credits upfront.

What are Videotto's upload limits?

Uploads are capped at 50 GB on a paid plan and 10 GB otherwise, at up to 80 Mbps, and AV1 files are not supported. Videos must be at least 3 minutes long for AI clipping. Paid plans keep videos for 30 days.

Does Videotto work on mobile?

Partly. Uploading, chatting with Otto and reviewing or downloading results work in a mobile browser with no app. The detailed editor is blocked on phones, tablets and windows narrower than 768px.
