overview

What ngram does

You describe the video, audience and tone, and attach sources: files, web pages or a screen recording. ngram researches the sources, writes a script and lays out the scenes as a plan you approve before production starts. It then generates narration, music, visuals and animation, and shows the preview beside its storyboard. You ask for changes in plain language, pin a comment to a specific frame, or open the timeline editor to change captions, music and scenes yourself.

Video types include explainers, presenter videos with an AI avatar, two-presenter conversations and product walkthroughs, where ngram can browse your product site and hand control back to you for a step that needs a login. Output is 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Premium generations use third-party models ngram names, such as Veo 3, Kling, Seedance and Grok Imagine, while its cheaper ngram-flash model costs less than a third as much per second.

Video generation costs 10 credits per second on premium models and 3 credits per second on ngram-flash. Basic's 3,000 credits therefore cover 300 seconds of premium video (3,000 / 10), about $5.80 per premium minute on monthly billing ($29 / 5). Premium's 10,000 credits cover about 16.7 premium minutes, about $3.54 a minute ($59 / 16.7). Planning, narration, images and revisions can also use credits. Top-ups cost $40 per 1,000 credits on Free, $20 on Basic, $15 on Premium and $10 on Ultimate, and never expire.

Unused Premium and Ultimate monthly credits carry over one extra cycle; Free and Basic reset monthly. Annual plans grant the whole year's credits upfront at a 20% discount. Refunds are reviewed case by case and are not guaranteed.

best for

Who ngram is best for

ngram suits product marketers, founders, customer success and L&D teams who need a steady flow of launch videos, feature explainers, onboarding and training lessons, and who want a script and storyboard to approve before spending on generation. The API and MCP server make it a fit for teams automating release-note or help-center videos.

If your main need is a lifelike talking-head presenter, HeyGen and Synthesia specialise in avatars. If you are starting from a slide deck and want narrated slides, ChatSlide is cheaper. The Free plan cannot download MP4s and its output is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

what users say

What users say

ngram's homepage cites a G2 rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 62 reviews; we could not open G2 to confirm it. Its Product Hunt page had no reviews yet, though the ngram 2.0 launch placed second of the day on October 12, 2026. A hands-on review on The Business Dive (which carries an affiliate disclosure and features the reviewer's own app) called the first draft "around 90% publish-ready", but found AI revisions inconsistent, sometimes changing other parts of the video, and slow at around 10 minutes per change. One review notes that per-second credit billing makes budgeting harder than a flat seat price.
