Stork's verdict on PopAi

PopAi is a handy way to get a first-draft deck from a PDF, but its hidden web prices and billing complaints mean you should test the free tier first.

overview

What PopAi does

PopAi's main tool is an AI presentation maker. You start from a prompt naming the audience, goal and key points, or from a source file (PDF, Word, PowerPoint) or a webpage. PopAi drafts an outline you can reorder and retitle, then generates the full deck with layouts and images, which you edit in the browser and export as PPTX or PDF or share by link, depending on your plan. PopAi itself tells users to check figures and citations drawn from source files.

Around that sit AI ChatPDF (ask questions of uploaded documents), AI writing tools, a general AI chat and AI image generation, all drawing on one credit balance. The pricing page lists models including Claude 4.5 Haiku, GPT-5, Gemini 3 Flash (Preview), Grok-4, DeepSeek-V3.1 and Seedream 4.5. PopAi runs on the web, as a Chrome extension, and as iOS and Android apps.

pricing

PopAi pricing

PopAi's web pricing page does not show prices to signed-out visitors: it lists plan credits and allowances, and prices appear only after you sign up. What the page shows:

PlanCreditsAI PresentationAI ChatPDFAI ChatAdds
Free500 in total (not monthly)about 1 generation in totalabout 50 docs in totalabout 150 chats in totalMulti-turn conversation, AI charts, file management, AI Image
Plus10,000 a month15 to 20 a monthabout 975 docs a monthabout 3,000 chats a monthUpload logo, paid themes, full PPTX/PDF export, watermark removal
Pro50,000 a month75 to 100 a monthabout 4,875 docs a monthabout 15,000 chats a monthEverything in Plus with 5 times the credits

The same page also promotes a Pro plan and an Unlimited plan, and its FAQ describes "two paid plans: Pro and Unlimited", so the tier names on the page do not match each other. The FAQ says plans can be paid monthly or yearly, you can upgrade from Pro to Unlimited but not downgrade, an annual plan cannot switch to monthly or quarterly until it ends, and cancelling keeps access until the end of the billing period.

PopAi's iOS App Store listing shows in-app purchases including PopAi Weekly Pro at $4.99, PopAi Pro-Monthly at $12.00, PopAi Month Pro at $14.99, PopAi Quarter Pro at $30.00, PopAi Year Pro at $99.00 and PopAi Monthly Unlimited at $47.00. These are app-store prices and may differ from web checkout.

Prices checked on the vendor's pricing page on November 2, 2026. See popai.pro/pricing.

  • Web app, Chrome extension, and iOS and Android apps

best for

Who PopAi is best for

PopAi suits students, teachers and individual professionals who want a first-draft deck from a PDF or a set of notes, and who also want document chat in the same app. The outline step lets you fix structure before slides are generated.

Teams that need brand control, collaboration or polished design should compare Gamma, Presentations.AI or Prezi. If you only need to ask questions of documents, ChatPDF or Humata are more focused. Given the volume of billing complaints, read the renewal terms carefully before buying an annual plan.

what users say

What users say

Customer reviews on billing are poor. Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 1.3 out of 5 from 56 reviews, nearly all one star, citing hard-to-find cancellation, charges after cancelling or deleting an account, refused refunds on annual renewals and unanswered support emails; Trustpilot notes PopAi has not invited customers to review. The Chrome Web Store listing for the PopAi extension shows 4.0 out of 5 from 35 ratings, and the iOS app shows 4.3 from 494 ratings. A review by Prezent (a competing presentation tool) credits PopAi with fast first drafts from PDFs and notes and easy PPTX export, but says decks often need manual editing and it lacks brand controls, real-time collaboration and enterprise features.

Frequently asked questions

How much does PopAi cost?

PopAi's web pricing page does not show prices without signing up. Its iOS app lists in-app purchases from $4.99 a week and $12.00 or $14.99 a month for Pro, $99.00 a year, and $47.00 a month for Unlimited. Checked on November 2, 2026.

Is PopAi free?

Yes, there is a free tier with 500 credits in total (not per month). PopAi says that covers about 1 presentation, about 50 PDF documents or about 150 chats. Full PPTX/PDF export without a watermark needs a paid plan.

Can PopAi make a presentation from a PDF?

Yes. You can start from a PDF, Word file, existing PowerPoint or a webpage. PopAi drafts an outline you can edit, then builds the slides, which you can export as PPTX or PDF depending on your plan. PopAi advises checking figures and citations taken from the source.

How do I cancel a PopAi subscription?

PopAi says you can cancel at any time in your account settings and keep access until the end of the billing period, or email customerservice@popai.pro for help. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there.

What is the difference between PopAi Pro and Unlimited?

PopAi says Pro has usage limits for moderate use, while Unlimited removes most restrictions. You can upgrade from Pro to Unlimited at any time but cannot downgrade from Unlimited to Pro.

Which AI models does PopAi use?

Its pricing page lists Claude 4.5 Haiku, GPT-5, Gemini 3 Flash (Preview), Grok-4, DeepSeek-V3.1 and Seedream 4.5. Other PopAi pages name different and newer models, so the list may change.

Is PopAi better than Gamma?

PopAi combines slides with PDF chat, writing and image tools in one credit balance, which suits individual users. Gamma is focused on presentations, documents and web pages with more design and sharing features. Compare their free tiers on the same source material.
