Short answer: most free AI music video tiers are a sample, not a product. They usually mean a one-time pile of credits, a watermark, a capped resolution or length, and no commercial rights. In our check, Pika is the only tool with no watermark on any plan, including free, but its Free and Starter plans do not allow commercial use. Everything else watermarks free exports. How we checked: prices and features below come from each vendor's own pricing, help or release-notes page, read on October 14, 2026. We did not render the same song in every tool, so this article says nothing about output quality. Anything we could not confirm on an official page is marked as unverified, and prices change often, so check the vendor before you pay.
Three kinds of 'free'
- One-time credits. A fixed pile that runs out: Runway gives 125 credits once; Freebeat's free tier is 500 non-expiring credits.
- Daily credits. A small allowance that refills: Suno gives 50 a day, and Flow Music has free daily credits.
- A free first item. StarSinger's first lyric video is free and one song a day is free, while its music videos are paid.

Watermark is not the same as commercial rights
People treat these as one question. They are two. A tool can export with no watermark and still forbid commercial use (Pika's Free and Starter plans). Another can allow commercial use only on paid plans and watermark everything on free (Runway, Kapwing). If the video will earn money, such as ads, a sponsored post or a paid release, you need both: no watermark and a licence that covers commercial use.
How to get a usable video for free
- Personal use or testing: any free tier is fine. Accept the watermark and use it to check the style.
- A quick lyric video: StarSinger's first lyric video is free; see our lyric video guide.
- A watermark-free clip: Pika has no watermark on any plan, but check the commercial rules before monetising.
- A full, commercial music video: budget for a paid plan or a pay-per-video price. See what a finished video costs.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI music video generator with no watermark?
Pika is the only tool we found with no watermark on any plan, including free, but it is a general clip generator and its Free and Starter plans do not allow commercial use. Most others watermark free exports.
Can I use a free AI music video commercially?
Usually not. Free tiers commonly exclude commercial use. Freebeat's terms say its free tier is non-commercial, and Suno's free plan has no commercial rights.
What is the best free AI music video generator?
It depends on what you need. For a free lyric video, StarSinger's first one is free. For a clip with no watermark, Pika. For testing a full music video, the free credits at Freebeat or Runway. None is a full free product.
How do I remove the watermark?
Upgrade, in most tools: Runway's Standard plan, Kapwing's Pro plan, or a paid VEED plan. StarSinger removes its branding with a one-time $4.99. Compare the price with a pay-per-video option before subscribing.
