TL;DR / Key Takeaways
- Sondo full video: $19.98 in our test; One More Shot full song: 7,455 tokens, a $129.99-a-month plan.
- One More Shot's free moodboard is the better pre-purchase preview.
- We bought Sondo and did not buy One More Shot; output is compared for Sondo only.
Short answer: both apps act like a director: they plan the video before they make it. Sondo did it for $19.98 in our test (a weekly plan plus a top-up) and delivered a watermarked 3:22 video. One More Shot showed a free moodboard first, then quoted a full-song video that needs its $129.99-a-month plan; we did not buy it, so we can compare prices and planning but not output. Checked October 16, 2026.
How we tested: on October 16, 2026 we installed each app from Google Play (US) on a Pixel 6 Pro and tried to make the same thing in each: a music video for the brief "a happy birthday song for my wife Anna", starring the same photo (an AI-generated portrait, not a real person). Apps that only animate a song you upload got the same finished track. We paid with our own money for Sondo, Yuna and Mozart. We did not buy a One More Shot video: we went through its free steps and recorded its prices. StarSinger's clip and full video were made the same day through the app's normal purchase flow; for StarSinger we report its listed one-time prices. Prices are what the apps showed us that day, before tax, and change often.

Price: Sondo is far cheaper for one full song
For one full-length video, Sondo's $19.98 is a fraction of a $129.99 monthly plan, even allowing for One More Shot's 30% first-video discount. One More Shot gets closer for short clips: 30 seconds fit inside its $29 BASIC offer. Both bill on a schedule (weekly at Sondo, monthly at One More Shot), so cancel if you only wanted one video.
Planning: One More Shot shows more before you pay
One More Shot's moodboard is free and comes before any purchase; the stills held the face from our photo. Sondo's storyboard is more detailed (a story, a cover, timed lyrics) but in our run it came after we had already subscribed. If you want to judge an idea before spending anything, One More Shot's free step is the better preview. Details: Sondo review, One More Shot review (pricing and free steps).
Verdict
- Choose Sondo for a full-length story video at the lower total price, with the caveats of 480p, a default watermark and loose likeness.
- Try One More Shot's free moodboard if you have a song and want to see a director's plan first; budget a monthly plan for the video.
