Stork's verdict on Pexo

Pexo turns a brief or source file into a revisable, finished video, but chat-based revisions won’t spare you credits when generations need rework.

overview

What Pexo does

Pexo works like a video producer you chat with. You start with an idea, a product or page URL, a PDF, an image, a video or an audio clip, and Pexo drafts a plan: script, scenes, shots, references and creative direction. After you approve, it generates the visuals and assembles a video with voiceover, music, motion graphics, subtitles and transitions, formatted for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or X. You mark what to change and it revises without starting over. Pexo lists explainers, animated and motion-graphics explainers, launch videos, product and UGC ads, music videos, anime, short stories and social clips as use cases.

Pexo says it chooses the model for each step rather than asking you to. Its site names Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Happy Horse 1.0, Kling AI 3.0, Veo 3.1, MiniMax H3, GPT-Image 2, Nano Banana and Seedream 5.0 Pro for visuals, Claude, Gemini, GPT and Grok as language models, and ElevenLabs for audio. It runs in the browser, has a CLI/MCP option and 'Pexo Skills' for developers, and is operated by EXTREMO LIMITED according to the site footer.

From the Pro estimate, a minute of finished video uses roughly 960 to 2,400 credits (4,800 / 5 and 4,800 / 2); the range depends on style and models. Credits cover the whole workflow: visuals, audio, captions and editing. All paid plans include watermark-free exports, commercial use rights, premium models and priority support. No annual option is listed.

Add-on credit packs are for subscribers only: $10 for 1,000, $20 for 2,000, $30 for 3,000, $50 for 5,000, $90 for 10,000 and $180 for 20,000. Subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle; bonus and add-on credits have their own expiry. Pexo states that all payments are final and non-refundable except where the law requires, including unused credits.

best for

Who Pexo is best for

Pexo suits marketers, founders and small teams who want a launch video, product ad or explainer from a brief or a link and would rather direct than edit. The minute estimates on each plan make budgeting easier than per-clip pricing.

If you want to pick each model yourself and pay per second, Medeo shows its per-second rates. For narrated YouTube videos of 6 to 60 minutes built from stock footage, VidRush is cheaper per minute. If you mainly need single clips or images across many models, Carat is a model hub with unlimited image tiers.

what users say

What users say

On Trustpilot, Pexo scored 2.8 out of 5 from 15 reviews when checked, with 60% one-star. Positive reviewers praise how well it understands requests; critical ones say credits run out fast, one writing "The credits vanish at an unbelievable rate", report output that does not match prompts, and complain about support and unanswered refund requests. Two of the reviews are labelled as invited by Pexo. Pexo's homepage says it was a Product Hunt #1 Product of the Day; much of the other praise online comes from Pexo's own blog.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Pexo cost?

Pro is $30 a month for 4,800 credits (about 2-5 minutes of video), Elite $60 for 10,000 credits (about 5-11 minutes) and Max starts at $100 for 18,000 credits (about 9-20 minutes), scaling up to $2,000. Part of each allowance is a limited-time bonus. See pexo.ai/pricing.

Is Pexo free?

New users get starter credits on a free plan, but Pexo does not say how many. Watermark-free exports and commercial use rights need a paid plan.

How many minutes of video does a Pexo plan make?

Pexo estimates about 2-5 minutes on Pro, 5-11 on Elite and 9-20 on the $100 Max tier. That works out to roughly $6 to $15 per finished minute on Pro, depending on style and models.

Which AI models does Pexo use?

Pexo names Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Happy Horse 1.0, Kling AI 3.0, Veo 3.1, MiniMax H3, GPT-Image 2, Nano Banana and Seedream 5.0 Pro, plus Claude, Gemini, GPT and Grok language models and ElevenLabs audio. It chooses the model for each step itself.

Does Pexo give refunds?

No, except where required by law. Pexo's credit rules say subscription fees, upgrade differences and unused credits are non-refundable. You can cancel through the Stripe portal from your account.

Do Pexo credits roll over?

No. Subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. Bonus and add-on credits have their own expiry dates, and add-on packs can only be bought with an active subscription.

Pexo vs Medeo: which should I pick?

Both are chat-to-video agents. Pexo chooses models for you and prices plans by estimated minutes, from $30 a month. Medeo lets you see per-second rates per model, has a free plan with a watermark and a timeline editor, and Pro costs $39 a month for 700 credits.
