overview

What Hi3D does

Hi3D is a web app that generates 3D models from images or text. You upload one or more images (JPG, PNG or WebP) or write a prompt, pick a geometry model version, and Hi3D builds a mesh with textures; its FAQ says a usable model takes about 2 minutes. If you start from text, Hi3D first makes a reference image with image models it names, such as Nano Banana, Seedream and GPT Image, then converts that image to 3D. The site advertises up to 2048 cubed resolution and 8K PBR textures on its current v3.0 models.

Much of the product is built around 3D printing. Split to Print cuts a model into parts and adds connectors, Multi-Color Print detects color regions, and Relief makes raised panels. Finished models export as STL, OBJ, 3MF, GLB or USDZ, or go directly to slicers such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Creality Print, Elegoo and Snapmaker. Hi3D also offers a paid print-and-ship service and an API platform for developers at platform.hi3d.ai.

Hi3D pricing

Pricing not published on the vendor's site as of November 3, 2026: the pricing page lists plans and credits but shows no dollar amounts (the plan cards render only "Subscribe Now"). What the page does publish:

PlanCreditsv3.0 Quality modelsv2.1 modelsConcurrent tasks
Free100, lifetimeUp to 3Up to 101
Pro1,000 per monthUp to 33 per monthUp to 100 per month10
Max4,000 per monthUp to 133 per monthUp to 400 per month20
Ultra10,000 per monthUp to 333 per monthUp to 1,000 per month30

Credit costs per task, from the pricing FAQ: 3D generation costs 10 to 130 credits (v3.0 Quality 30, v3.0 Master 130, v2.1 Fast 10), text-to-image 3 to 20, stylized texture 10, Split to Print 20, Multi-color Print 10 and Relief 10. So Pro's 1,000 credits cover about 33 v3.0 Quality models (1,000 / 30) or 7 v3.0 Master models (1,000 / 130). Subscription credits refresh every 30 days and do not roll over; credit packs are sold to subscribers only and do not expire. Failed generations caused by a system issue are refunded automatically. Hi3D says renewal charges are not refundable once processed, and promotional annual plans are not refundable unless the law requires it. Free-plan models fall under a free asset license that requires attribution; paid plans allow private and commercial use.

best for

Who Hi3D is best for

Hi3D suits people who want a printable object from a photo or idea: figurines, props, gifts and replacement parts, where the split, connector and multi-color tools save time in the slicer. The free plan's 100 lifetime credits cover about three v3.0 Quality models, enough to check output on your own images.

Look elsewhere if you need game-ready assets with rigging and animation, or a published price before you sign up: Meshy and Tripo target game and animation pipelines. If you can run your own GPU, open models such as TRELLIS (MIT license) do image-to-3D for free.

what users say

What users say

On Trustpilot, where Hi3D is listed under its hitem3d.ai domain, it scores 4.2 out of 5 from 107 reviews at the time of checking. Reviewers praise the interface, how closely models follow the source image and the 3D printing tools. The main complaints are billing: several people say they signed up for a yearly plan by mistake and struggled to get refunds, and others say annual plans release credits monthly rather than upfront. A few low ratings mention artifacts or output that does not match the reference image. Hi3D replies to most negative reviews, usually pointing users to support email.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Hi3D cost?

Hi3D does not show dollar prices on its pricing page; the plan cards (Pro, Max, Ultra) show only credits and a Subscribe button, so you see the price at checkout. Pro includes 1,000 credits a month, Max 4,000 and Ultra 10,000. See hi3d.ai/pricing.

Is Hi3D free?

There is a free plan with 100 lifetime credits, one task at a time. A v3.0 Quality model costs 30 credits, so that is about three models. Free-plan models carry a free asset license that requires attribution; commercial use without attribution needs a paid plan.

What file formats does Hi3D export?

STL, OBJ, 3MF, GLB and USDZ. You can also send a model directly to slicers including Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Creality Print, Elegoo and Snapmaker.

Can I use Hi3D models commercially?

Hi3D's FAQ says you own the models you create, paid plans allow private and commercial use, and free-plan models fall under a free asset license that requires attribution.

Do Hi3D credits roll over?

No. Subscription credits refresh every 30 days and expire at the end of the cycle. Credit packs, which only subscribers can buy, do not expire. Promotional credits usually last 3 to 6 months.

Can I get a refund from Hi3D?

Credits for generations that fail because of a system issue are returned automatically. Hi3D says it cannot refund a renewal charge once it has gone through, and promotional annual plans are not refundable unless the law requires it, so cancel before the renewal date if you do not want to continue.

Is Hi3D the same as Hitem3D?

Hi3D's reviews on Trustpilot are listed under the hitem3d.ai domain, and both domains serve the same Hi3D pricing page. Check which account you signed up on before contacting support about billing.
