Blend Review

Blend turns a phone photo of a product into marketplace and marketing images. You upload the product, and Blend removes the background and lets you place it in a studio shot, an AI-generated lifestyle scene or one of its 1,000+ templates. For fashion it adds AI models and virtual try-on, ghost mannequin shots and pose changes; for listings it can recolor a product, add dimension callouts and produce white-background images for Amazon. A Poster Maker, Logo Maker, "Text Behind Image" effect and DesignGPT handle marketing graphics, and AI Video turns stills into short product clips. Batch processing covers larger catalogues.

Blend runs in the browser at app.blendnow.com and as iOS and Android apps. It is made by BlendIt Studios Pvt Ltd. The company does not say which AI models power its features.

The PRO plan lists per-feature quotas: 2,000 AI backgrounds, 100 AI model shots, 100 lifestyle shots, 100 studio shots, 100 ghost mannequin shots and 100 to 2,000 DesignGPT outputs a month; MAX is three times each. At the yearly rate, PRO works out to about $0.0075 a credit ($89.99 / 12,000). Prices are shown in US dollars. The free tier's limits are not published; a 2023 Product Hunt reviewer mentioned a fixed watermark on free exports.

Blend suits small and mid-size e-commerce sellers, especially apparel, jewelry, beauty and home decor brands, who want listing photos, model shots and short ads without a photographer. The yearly PRO plan is one of the cheaper ways to get on-model and ghost mannequin shots in one subscription, and the mobile apps make it practical to shoot and edit on a phone.

Teams that need an API or deeper catalogue automation may prefer Photoroom or Claid. For fashion-focused AI model photography, compare Botika. If you need to edit a single photo with a written instruction instead of a template, Pixfy is simpler.

Public reviews are few. On Product Hunt, Blend is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 3 reviews dating from its 2023 launch; reviewers liked the quick onboarding and results, but noted "small bleedy edges", a free watermark they could not move, and features locked behind payment. Capterra shows a single 5-star review praising stability and the AI backgrounds. One App Store reviewer complained that the app assumes products stand upright. Blend's own site claims a 4.8 app store rating; that figure was not checked against the stores.
