Short answer: for a designer-quality site, Framer ($10 a month billed yearly with a custom domain) and Webflow ($15, or $25 with a CMS) are the strongest. For a small business that wants a site written for it in minutes, Durable and Squarespace's Blueprint AI are the easiest. Hostinger is the cheapest upfront but renews at more than four times the intro price. 10Web suits people who want WordPress underneath. Updated October 30, 2026.
How we checked: plans, limits and renewal prices come from each vendor's own pricing and help pages, read October 30, 2026. Several builders show monthly prices only behind a toggle; where we could not read a figure we say so. Wix showed us a non-US price list, so we leave its dollar prices out. We did not build the same site in every tool, so this guide does not rank design quality.

Framer and Webflow: for design control
Framer is the designer's pick: Basic at $10 a month billed yearly gives a custom domain, 30 pages, a CMS and 1,000 AI credits a month, and Pro ($30) raises that to 150 pages. Its free plan is for non-commercial use. Webflow gives the most control over layout and CMS: Basic ($15) has no CMS, so most sites need Premium ($25, 20,000 CMS items); ecommerce starts at $29 a month. Webflow's AI builder only works on new sites, and AI copy generation needs a paid plan.
Durable, Squarespace and Wix: for a site written for you
Durable asks three questions and produces a full site with copy and images, and includes bookings, invoicing and a CRM; its own FAQ says it is not built for ecommerce. Squarespace's Blueprint AI does the same with Squarespace's templates, every plan can sell, and the store fee drops from 2% to 0% from Core ($29) up. Wix builds a site from a prompt or a chat and adds its Aria agent; it is free to start, with a custom domain on Premium plans.
Hostinger, 10Web and Wegic
- Hostinger: the lowest upfront price and a free domain for a year, ecommerce on Unlimited and up. Check the renewal price before you commit to 48 months.
- 10Web: an AI-generated front end on a WordPress back end, so you keep WordPress plugins; $10 a month billed yearly for one site.
- Wegic: builds through a chat; Starter ($23.90 a month billed yearly) stays on a wegic.net subdomain, and a custom domain needs Premium ($41.90).
