Stork's verdict on StudyX

StudyX is a wide study toolkit at a low annual price, but its credit system and conflicting refund terms make it harder to judge than flat-rate rivals.

overview

What StudyX does

StudyX gives step-by-step homework solutions from photos, pasted text or uploaded files, with an AI tutor, math solver and question answerer across 50+ subjects in math, science, business, languages, arts and humanities and social science. Beyond homework it offers an AI note taker, live lecture and audio transcription, PDF, slide and video summarizers, flashcards (including from PDFs and YouTube), a quiz generator and practice tests. Writing tools include an AI detector, AI humanizer, plagiarism checker and paraphraser, and there are exam-prep sections for NCLEX and several professional trainings.

It runs on the web, iOS and Android, as a browser extension and inside Discord. You can pick between StudyX AI for quick answers, StudyX AI Pro for deeper reasoning, or Auto; StudyX does not name the underlying models. The service is run by StudyX Inc. according to its terms and app store listings.

All paid plans include in-depth homework help, access to "all the latest AI models", notes, flashcards and quizzes, live transcription, AI chat and no ads. On annual billing Plus saves about $50 a year ($9.99 x 12 = $119.88 vs $69.99). StudyX does not publish how many credits one question costs, so the number of questions per plan cannot be worked out. A free Basic plan exists (the plans page mentions downgrading to it) but its limits are not listed. The plans page promises a 3-day money-back guarantee while its FAQ and terms say payments are non-refundable; the FAQ also mentions a 3-day trial on yearly plans.

best for

Who StudyX is best for

StudyX suits college students who want homework help, lecture transcription and writing tools in one subscription and who will use it often enough to justify annual billing. The Discord integration is unusual and useful for study groups.

If you mainly need homework answers and want a clearer free tier, Gauth or Brainly are simpler. If you want a fixed price with no credit math, Solvely sells one Pro plan. As with any humanizer, using it to pass off AI writing may break your school's rules.
