Why most "seamless" AI patterns aren't

A pattern is only seamless if its edges wrap — the right edge continues into the left, the top into the bottom — so it tiles with no visible seam. Ordinary image generators don't do this: they draw each edge independently, so you get a hard grid line when you tile it.
