What is Voquill?
Voquill is an AI voice-to-text tool developed by Voquill (company) that enables content creators, writers, and professionals to convert speech to text and auto-correct transcripts. It also offers a specialized AI-native operating system for medical laboratories, streamlining pathology workflows. Voquill presents two distinct AI tools: an open-source AI voice typing application and an AI-native operating system for medical laboratories. The primary focus of the website voquill.com and much of the recent public information is on the voice typing app.
Voquill (AI Voice Typing App): This open-source, cross-platform AI voice typing application is designed to accelerate text input, claiming speeds up to four times faster than traditional keyboard typing. It integrates into existing workflows across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android devices. The FOSS version was first published in July 2025, with a Chrome extension launched on August 4, 2025, and mobile applications for iOS and Android released on April 9, 2026.
Voquill (AI-Native Operating System for Medical Labs): This specialized platform functions as an AI-native operating system for medical laboratories, managing the entire workflow from accessioning and workflow management to reporting, coding, compliance, and revenue. Founded in 2026 by Michael Gibson, Henry Habib, and Josiah Saunders, and backed by Y Combinator, it was being used by 25 pathologists from a leading F500 lab as of May 2026.
