overview

What Image Upscaler does

Image Upscaler started as a convolutional neural network for upscaling and is now a small set of browser tools: Upscale, Unblur (with a FacePro option for blurred faces), Remove JPEG Artifacts, Enlarge Image and Enhance Image, plus an "Improve with AI" option on paid plans. Its FAQ also mentions object removal, video-to-cartoon and AI image generation. You upload a file, pick a tool and processing runs on its servers; batch upload is supported.

It accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, BMP, TIFF, AVIF, JFIF and PDF images, and MP4 and AVI video. The pricing FAQ says images larger than 2000 x 2000 px are reduced to 2000 px before processing, and output can reach 16,000 x 16,000 px. The site says uploads are deleted 60 minutes after processing. It does not name the models it uses.

Starter$9.90$69/year50about $0.20
Premium$25$180/year500$0.05
Premium Plus$29$208/year1,000$0.029

One credit is one standard image; "Improve with AI" costs 8 credits per image. Individual plans are ad-free, include all tools and batch upload, and upscale up to 8x; Premium plans add a priority queue. Annual billing saves 40 to 42%, which brings Starter to about $0.115 a credit ($69 / 600). Unused credits reset each billing period, failed processing is not charged, and you can cancel at any time.

API plans (application required) are separate: Business Starter $49 a month for 2,000 images (2.5 cents each), Business Premium $99 for 5,000 (2 cents) and Business Advanced $299 for 20,000 (1.5 cents), covering upscaling at x4 and deblurring for JPG and PNG.

best for

Who Image Upscaler is best for

Image Upscaler suits people who occasionally need a sharper or larger photo for a listing, a blog or a print, and developers who want a simple per-image upscaling API without running their own GPU. Premium Plus at 1,000 credits a month is good value for steady volume.

Note the 2000 px input cap: large originals are reduced before processing, so photographers working from big RAW exports may prefer desktop tools such as Topaz Gigapixel or the free, open-source Upscayl. For creative, detail-inventing upscales of AI art, compare Magnific. For video, use Free AI Video Upscaler.
