Overview
Akash Network is an open-source, decentralized cloud computing marketplace. It facilitates the buying and selling of compute resources, including GPUs, through a blockchain-based network. This platform allows users to access global GPU power for various applications, including AI workloads.
The marketplace operates on a reverse auction system where pricing is determined by supply and demand through competitive bids. It offers an alternative for acquiring compute resources, requiring a hands-on approach to deploying and managing workloads within its decentralized environment.
