Fidus Writer is an open-source online editor designed for collaborative academic writing. It supports features such as academic citations, real-time editing, and multiple publishing solutions. Users can export documents in formats like PDF, EPUB, or HTML.
The platform is specifically built for academics, offering LaTeX export capabilities and JATS XML support. An optional Large Language Model plugin is under development to assist with writing, error correction, and rephrasing within the editor.
